The Fall of FTX

  What Is FTX Token (FTT)? FTT is the native cryptocurrency token of the crypto derivatives trading platform FTX that launched on May 8, 2019. The team behind FTX comprises some of the largest crypto traders over the past few years who, having found issues with most mainstream crypto futures exchanges, decided to launch their own platform. FTX claims that it stands out due to such features as clawback prevention, a centralized collateral pool and universal stablecoin settlement. FTX is a centralized crypto exchange launched by Sam Bankman-Fried in 2019, backed by significant trading companies in the industry, including Almeda Research, OTPP, Temasek, BlackRock, Coinbase Ventures and Sequoia Capital. Is Solana Dead?

  Solana was once considered the next big crypto technology.  Created by Yakovenko, Fitzgerald, and Akridge; Solana is a blockchain-based on proof of history (PoH) and proof of stake (PoS). As such, Solana was predicted to be able to process over 700,000 transactions per second. Unfortunately, the Solana blockchain frequently crashed and its unreliability led to users losing interest in using the blockchain.  It now seems that Solana will not be able to recover from its past problems. Bitcoin's Wild Ride Continues Through Dec, 2022

Bitcoin's fall continued through the end of the year. The question for 2023 is how far will the markets allow Bitcoin's price to fall?  Has Bitcoin's appeal as an alternative currency come to an end? Or is it that Bitcoin is highly connected to US monetary policy?   While we won't know the answer to these questions in 2023, it is clear that Bitcoin's future is far from determined and far from over...
